Article 1 - Name
The name of the organization shall be the Super Prom Association (SPA).
Article 2 - Purpose
The purpose of the SPA is to plan, prepare for, and hold Super Prom. Super Prom is an annual summer event in which the members gather for socializing, fun and merriment. Members are committed to each other through life-long friendship.
Article 3 - Governance
The organization is governed by a committee, known as the Super Prom Committee, or, the Committee. The Committee consists of a President, a Chief of Operations, and at least 2 other members. The Chief of Operations also acts as Treasurer. Committee members shall be appointed and removed from office by procedures described in the bylaws. The bylaws shall specify the duties of the Committee members.
Article 4 - Members
Members shall be added and removed from the association by procedures described in the bylaws.
Article 5 - Dissolution
Should the association dissolve, its finances shall be distributed by procedures described in the bylaws.
Article 6 - Amendments
Amendments to these articles must be approved by a two thirds majority vote at a general meeting. Bylaws of the association can be passed and amended by a majority vote at a general meeting.
